It's a variant cover. There were several variants.

So it'd be like The Dark Knight coming out with 6-7 DVD releases with different covers to celebrate famous Batman movies and shows. And you can pick out a specific one you want. Like 60's Adam West Batman cover!

Variant covers don't have to. Just like a variant cover for a movie doesn't have to. Hence variant.

You keep repeating that argument, but no one is buying it any more than they are buying the cover. We all know that cover was spank material, we know that variant covers are often used as spank material, we the customers are no longer wanting them to be so and are protesting when the spank material is put out. From now on, variants will have a connection to the thing they are placed on. Sorry dude, commerce and history have moved on and the industry has redefined itself for a new demographic of customers who are not you. It sucks for you, you can no longer spank to comics then watch Top Gear on tv, but that is life. Just accept it.
