Moved from south (the Des Moines area) to north over the course my life - I'm up by Luther College (Decorah) now. :)

That's a lovely part of the state. A few years ago, one of my entomology professors took our class on a collecting trip in that neck of the woods. I especially remember a beautiful stream flowing out of a cave, so clear that you could see exactly what kind of caddisflies had fastened their houses to the rocks. And you can look at the countryside and see in it one Grant Wood landscape after another.
