I have phobia about heights. It's so bad that I can't even go on a high dive board at the pool. My body reacts too much and I lose all sense of balance and I collapse to my feet with me trembling like a leaf. I can't handle it.

I couldn't even go too high on a swing as a kid and it's still so bad. I stood on a chair to reach something in the lab the other day and was terrified. I knew it was going to happen, but occasionally I like to make myself do things that scare me to make sure it's still as bad as I remember or see if maybe I'm getting better about it. This one has definitely not gotten better.

Oh, high chairs do that to me too depending on what sort of floor we have. I am less afraid on carpet than on hardwood. I guess my head figures at least when, and not if, but when I fall I will at least have padding.

I'm the same but for me I think it's more about the extra traction between the chair legs and the carpet. I think I've just spent too much time watching dogs slide around on slippery floors.
