Reading the summary of it, it actually looks really interesting. Would you recommend it? I expect it is an easy read.

Nosing in, I've read it. They're pretty prehistoric romance, which can get kind of overbearing in the long run. The first is genuinely really good, and Auel knows her research and shows it throughout the series.

Hrm. So just reading the first one seems like the way to go.

From what I can remember, I did like it. I didn't read the later books, which got more romance-heavy, but the historical background was definitely interesting.

It was pretty light reading (it did spawn a movie, after all) and looks like they are now developing a TV series based on the book as well.

cenobitic_anchorite said the same thing. If I read them, I'll stick to the first one.

One of the sequels was an instrumental part of my sex education.

Do not read it when you're ten.

Thankfully, I am no longer ten. SO NOTHING CAN STOP ME!
