I don't know if I'd call him my "idol" but I met Alan Tudyk at a movie premiere in LA once and the premiere ticket included a reception afterwards. At the end of the night we walked up to him and said hello and were so glad he posted about the premiere on twitter. He was so super nice and excited we came because of him and he took the selfie.

Take the chance if you see him, and don't be afraid to say hi. He was so pleasant to talk to. Granted, we were also at a premiere and it wasn't like we accosted him on the street.

Sidenote: if you get a chance to see the movie "Premature" I highly recommend it. It's American Pie meets Groundhog Day.
