I've worked at shelters and with veterinarians. Worked with over a hundred pit bulls, and have never been bitten. It's also worth noting, some of these dogs have been abused or are scared. I have been chomped once, and it was by a lab.

Both pro-pit and anti-pit people will quote with you statistics that fit their agendas until their face is blue. So, I don't put a lot of stock in statistics. However, my personal experience with pits and has been wonderful. And I'm horrified that people think they should be indiscriminately killed.
