The breaking point was reading about Valerie D’Orazio’s PTSD from years of online harassment.
The idea that online harassment can cuse PTSD has been so thoroughly mocked for so many years that i feel baffled to believe it now, but I can’t reasonably dismiss her, and I don’t feel like I can keep being around peope who’d treat her as a punchline if they had any interest in her.
(I’m not sure whether Case will NS this. I think it’s a fandom secret, since D’Orazio is a writer within a fandom.)
