The thing with her hair was awful now that I remember it, but the "prank" that I'd never been able to forget was when they accosted Gabriel, held him down and covered him with mustard outside his house. Something about the way it talked about it getting in his hair and all over his clothes was just super vivid for me.

And, I mean, clearly he overcame it unscathed and did something with a photo of one of the girls covered in spaghetti as a kid that I don't really remember because it's been 20 years since I read it, but it still bugs me.
