It is a fun book, but the library here only has a version in Dutch (boo, translations) and I've never found/had to motivation to buy a copy.

Yeah, The Hobbit had the Wyrm/dragon, Smaug, but not the trilogy. I remember there was talk in Hobbit that there were other dragons before Smaug, but..yeah.

Yeah, I don't remember any dragons playing major (or minor) parts, either. I think they were mentioned, at least? Probably, somewhere. I don't remember, it's been a while. *dies*

The closest things to "dragons" in the Trilogy were the Fel beasts (flying Nazgul), but definitely not dragons.
