Aslan is a jerk. There's something of a split in Narnia fandom over this.

Am I the only one who likes that he's a jerk? Like, Narnia is kind of dystopic and unpredictable and unfair.

I don't know if "like" is the right word, but I think it's a fair portrayal of Christianity. People tend to see religion as cuddly and comforting, much like their expectations of a talking animal. But just as Aslan isn't a tame lion, Christianity isn't a tame religion.
