I don't know. I remember lurking alt.tv.x-files back in the day and Krycek was HUGE. Maybe disproportionately so given his role, but the dude had an enthusiastic following.

Yeah, I know. I was a *cough* shipper *cough*. But still, to watch a show just for that? I forget, but...was he even in the first season?

No. He doesn't appear until the second. He's only in 23/202 episodes in total.

I mean, I absolutely adore the character, but that's a strange reason to watch if you're watching outside the first half of season two.

Nick Lea was in the first season as the victim of the Amish-ish man/woman alien (?) with out of control pheromones who made out with him, but was, like, toxic. He fared better than its other victims, though.

He was re-tread in the next season as Krycek.

I always forget he appears in season one in that role and I'm always surprised and delighted when he pops up.
