Well, I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a little just to be contrary. 90% of the people say they hate it, and of course I want to like it just to be different.

But, at the time there were actually a few good fics about their relationship and the struggles they had post Voyager which was interesting. And Seven of Nine as a character was interesting, so I guess that was part of it. (I did enjoy other ships that included her too.)
