Even though I'm not biggest anime/manga fan, sit the fuck down! If you think that they don't hold any sort of artistic merit, then you have never really paid attention, 'cause if you scratch the surfaced a just little bit you'll find some truly amazing works.
"Animated furry/robot porn"? Seriously, do some research and, I don't know, actually learn the subject before you decide you hate it. It won't hurt to present arguments next time, because the ones you have right now are so far off it's not even funny.
