Good enough that you don't shove your opinion into your friends' face about respecting them less for their tastes,but it's still a bit sad how you consider yourself superior.

No,seriously. This has nothing to do with you being a history art major and taking a so-called "art historic" perspective. This is just your opinion about something - you dislike anime/manga style- and that's fine by me,as "tous les goûts sont dans la nature".But really ,assuming that people into Anime/manga obviously can't have proper interest in history of art or art, or that bragging about your current situation makes your point anymore valid,is basically a misconception.
