(Anonymous) 2008-01-13 04:01 am (UTC)(link)I definitely agree that because of the writer's strike, as with any other strike, there are many more people apart from the writers who have to suffer financially because of the halt on work.
But I think that this is a necessary price to pay for the existence of unions, and the ability to demand better salary or working conditions.
Not everyone can afford to go on strike, I understand this completely. But the right to be able to speak out if you think you deserve more out of your job is important to have, and sometimes people have to act on this.
