And you didn't just say that you disliked it. That's one thing. You said that it has no artistic and intellectual merit, which is, frankly, bull, and as an art/art history student, you should know that.
I've never met an art student who got through their courses (Lord, especially the ones on Modern/Post-Modern art) with that attitude towards, well, anything. Sorry, but art, unfortunately for people like you, tends to be a bit more on the undefinable side.
