Only tangentially related, but I like to think that all of Facebook issues (ads, privacy, experiments with newsfeeds affecting mood, format changes) are Zuckerberg's revenge for all of the fic spawned by The Social Network.

I was actually thinking of more recent ones. Though, honestly, no matter how big or small a format change, there will always be someone who liked the old format better (whether it was less usable or not).
