(Anonymous) 2015-04-03 12:22 am (UTC)(link)Like others have said, the proliferation of guns in US society is incomparable to the use of guns here. Added to that the fact that 96% of our police force aren't even armed, it's not something you can compare. We don't know what our officers would do if every single one of them was legally armed because it simply isn't the case. Shooting suspects isn't an option for the vast, vast majority of police-related incidents here.
There is no like for like comparison here.
