Yeah I don't get why creators need to be beacons of perfection in order for other people to support them. Assholes can make a good product and they can do their job well, if you're not actually working with them directly it shouldn't matter what they're like on a personal level.

And ditto on the second sentiment, I don't like supporting people that I know have done real harm, but there's a difference between like Roman Polanski and someone who made a joke that was in poor taste and then apologized for it.

Yeah, everyone has a different level of dickery they're willing to tolerate in a creator, and god knows I have a chip on my shoulder about Piers Anthony and never want to give him another dime. What bothers me about the secret is that it specifically mentions INTERNET creators. As though there aren't enough creepers and abusers in the mainstream!
