(I didn't actually get through the first book even, I picked it up at a really dumb time to read zombie apocalypse fiction and haven't picked it up again, but that's what I hear.)

Exactly. And yeah - he'd been 'out' for what, like a month at that point? Less? And for him it had been a day, max, since he'd lost Bucky - since he'd last spoken to Peggy or his Commandos, since he's realized the only way to save the world was to die.

Frankly, being snarky was probably the last thing on his mind. I did love his cute little looks of 'oh, my, really?' at Coulson's babbling.

it's just easier to refer to this behavior as stalkeranon behavior than it is to say "behavior typical of the group of anons who like to pester named users" every single time

Well to be fair, all animal categories are man made anyway. Since otters and ferrets are related, an arbitrary category of "weasel" is as scientific as "monkey" for anything sort of humanoid-ish.

Nobody watches it for the art, and seeing how shitty the writing is these days I have to question why I watch it at all. The older episodes are funny but they can't string together a coherent storyline anymore

You say they "effectively show" those things OP, but does it objectively do those things or can you see those things because it's your favorite character?

When we like and relate to a character, we often read our own feelings and experiences into their actions when in reality the canon material itself isn't showing those things effectively at all, and because we assume everyone's been reading the character the way we have we don't understand why they don't "get" it the way we do.

I don't know. I have the same body type as Lily James, but I also find it not cool that she had to wear a super tight corset to get a super tiny waist for a Disney movie targeted at young girls.

I do think he was a virgin before the serum, for sure, but after? I don't think so. I don't think he'd look on casual, friendly sex with his co-stars in the show as bad or immoral - I think he'd want to try out his new body and be astounded that people were *looking* at him.

I think he had the same kind of mentality that a lot of guys did at the time (and some women) - you took comfort and affection where you could, and it was fine. But there was that one person that would be your 'it', and they were kind of 'above' that. I think Peggy was his 'it', and he'd never have entertained the thought of casual, pre-marriage sex with her. But a comfort/warmth/affection thing with one of the dancers when they were both feeling blue and homesick?

A little celebratory 'omg, we're alive!!!' thing with a willing Italian or French girl if they got a day 'off'? Hell yeah.

I hate the 'Steve and everyone never had any sex that wasn't lights-out-missionary', sex was invented in the 2000's!!!' trope, as well.
