I can't believe it either. I gave up a long time ago when Zack (Zach? idk) was revealed as the apprentice of Gorgonzolla or whatever the fuck that guy was called. It still pisses me off and it's been years

I heard that Sweets was brought on to be the killer. But because he was popular they made Zack the bad guy so Sweets could stay on.

I don't know if it's true, but I do know I never liked or trusted Sweets.

YES. This. What a fucked up bit of utterly idiotic plot nonsense. That and the Most Stupid Break Up EVER (Hodgins and Angela), I was done. From random comments, it seems a trainwreck now, so...glad i got out.

I thought it was the writer's strike that fucked that season over. Suddenly they had to wrap up the plot for end of season and hadn't had time to develop it, so they gave us a stinking pile of shit when they should have just held it over until the next damn season.

The writers' strike made it worse, but there's no way that another 8 episodes would have made sense of that pile of shit.

Now that I know that was the point where everything went downhill, I wish I'd quitted at that reveal. It was so illogical (and the "logical" conversation between him and Bones when they caught him was only adding insult to injury) and he was my favorite character at the time.
