It's bullshit.

She was not on a "strenuous liquid diet" in order to fit into the corset in the first place.

What she actually said was in reference to what it was like filming while wearing the corset. Filming days were continuous and fast-paced, so rather than having proper, relaxed meals and breaks, everyone ate on the go. Since it would take too much time to take off the corset and put it on again to eat, she had to eat while wearing it. Because wearing the corset made it difficult to properly digest food and caused her to burp constantly, she stuck to beverages and soup until filming was over and the corset could be removed.

The problem is that countless articles have taken her words out of context from other articles and framed them as her admitting to being "on a liquid diet" for the entire duration of production, because sensational shit like that gets views and sells magazines. Her coworkers have had to assure everyone that she actually eats a lot. It's ridiculous.

I skimmed through all the comments, and general consensus is that three or possibly four of the seven seasons were good. So overall, not a good average, but good enough at the end that it obscured your memories of the prior not so goodness?

Yeah, I mean, natural skin tone is so varied anyway that these are the best places to check because they're closest to the same shade on everyone. You might assume a naturally pale person or someone with very ashy skin tones was pale by their face, but you can't really know unless you've seen them before to compare.

The paramedic who taught me this actually said he'd taught basics to a group at a refugee centre, and some of the people there were like "well you can't check my colour, because my skin is too dark" and he had the whole group looking in each other's mouths to compare.

Sadly, no. I have no pets. I had hamsters once when I was younger, but they died and that was the end of it.
I would like to have one, though, but realistically it doesn't seem like the kind of thing that I could swing atm. I move around too much for it to be practical, and I know that having a pet is a serious responsibility.

Lucky you! I've seen it so often I'd rather take the evil, manipulative abuser Pepper instead. At least then I'd get a nice bit of character bashing to channel my frustrations into. I didn't like DS9 at first, but that was because I kept mentally comparing Sisko to Picard. Fast forward a few years and watching DS9 independently of TNG, it was actually really damn good. I ended up practically mainlining all seven seasons.

Actually, it would not surprise me to learn that there were fans who only liked Hartnell and/or Troughton, and refused to watch anything else, because Doctor Who fandom is just LIKE THAT.

Aw, thanks, anon :) I try to be cool and nice. I am not always. But it's easier to filter what you say when you're typing. lol

I don't have a single favorite band or musical act, and the ones I like the most vary from time to time. I'd say that a few of my overall favorites, for various reasons, are Barenaked Ladies, Chicago, David Cook, Maroon 5, and Three Days Grace. Extremely random, it seems.

Costa Rica, without a doubt. :)
