Aw. :( I can see how a twelve year old would panic and think "I'll let it run" etc.

Yes :(( I was poorly equipped to be a cat owner, I fear. Though I had even made sure to read a few books on the subject, the books in question never touched on the topic of what to do when confronted with a free-roaming dog who's being aggressive. Tbh we should probably have never actually taken the cat to that park. It was too risky.

I came home and wept, I was totally crushed. We searched for the cat for weeks, of course, and someone even saw her come to the local college to eat stuff from the kitchen, but we never saw her ourselves.

Now I want to hug young!you. But hopefully if people saw her around, someone took her in.

I would blame those pet owners, honestly. An aggressive dog shouldn't be roaming around.

That's what I've always hoped had happened! And aww, thank you, I wouldn't mind a virtual hug. Even if I'm not exactly twelve anymore.

The dog owners definitely screwed up, that's true.
