Not pushing myself to join more activities in high school. I bitch about how awful it was, but I didn't do much in the way of meeting people and making friends. I realize now you can't rely on someone inviting you to eat with them at lunch.

I mean, most of the kids were different from me anyway, but.

This, but for polytechnic. I think the few high school (secondary school) friends I did make were really the best options.

Lunching alone is fine by me, but I'd try not to pull that at my next job. On my internship last year I only ever had lunch with the other interns. I know only a couple of the rest would have stooped to our level for lunch, but I still regret not talking to the full-timers properly. The other interns managed to.
