Upon re-reading, it sounds worse than it actually is. I don't have an eating disorder or a "white girl disease" or anything -- and people who self diagnose are silly anyway.

I just don't think it's true that people born after 1989 really experience any kind of horrible thin-shaming. It's basically confined to Tumblr.

Anon, former starver here. And what I read up there sounded a LOT like some of the thought processes I had in my head.

Please, be careful, and take care of yourself. Your weight is not worth hurting yourself over.

You might consider talking to a therapist or mental health specialist anyway. It sounds like you still have anxiety about your appearance. It's also difficult to accurately and objectively gauge your own mental health.

What you've described definitely sounds like it might be an eating disorder to me. I really suggest that you seek professional advice if you can get it.

You get distraught over other people weighing less than you do, or talking about their fortunate metabolisms. You constantly compare yourself to other women. You look up people's BMIs in order to make those comparisons. You obsessively count calories, and induce vomiting when you go over your self-imposed limit.

None of that is remotely healthy. Get help.

Except what you've described is basically the standard textbook description of an eating disorder.
