I'm so tired of "beard activism" in general. I don't get it. Men with beards are not an oppressed group (women with beard, OTOH.... and does anyone stand up for and "appreciate" them? Certainly not the majority of the beard people, who are pretty obsessed with manliness and male supremacy).

Really, though. My dad (older than 70) has a beard. No one has ever harassed him about it or tried to make him shave it. Nor does he seem to need to make it part of his personality. Same with my grandfather and uncles. Why is the who beard obsession even a thing?

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to hassle anyone! I am just appreciating and expressing preference. But I wouldn't get upset if someone didn't want to have a beard, or try to make them have one.
