I gave up after she got married. In a white. Fucking. Dress. What she said she'd NEVER do.

I gave up when she had a kid...another thing she said she would never do (not saying that no woman ever changes her mind about having children, but it felt really weird for her character specifically)

She always struck me as very sympathetic to children and the few times she had to care for one didn’t make that transition seem weird to me. The only thing weird was that she wasn't on some kind of contraception. That was OOC.

Really, I'm okay with that. If they didn't write Emily's pregnancy into the show, they would have kept putting off Bones and Booth's relationship no matter how ridiculous it got.

I mean, it wasn't exactly something that completely threw me (i WAS a major shipper back then and i was happy nonetheless), but it always struck me as weird because she was always so prepared, so methodical, etc that not being on a contraceptive was just so OOC. But I started to get tired of Booth and his holier than thou attitude and I just got pissed the fuck off when she got married in a white dress. I could forgive other stuff, but that was my last straw.
