The fandom's slowly dying now too. Don't think I'll ever find anyone tbh. Ah well! Maybe one day. Hope you find someone to write MCU with. :)

Yeah, it's a dying fandom now too. Ah well, my dream lives on! I made a thread in GC, so people who are into more recent fandoms who want to write with others can find each other. Hope you find someone. :)

Out of curiosity, what do you write in Stargate? I've dabbled a little, but by the time I got to the fandom, it was well on its way out, so I never bothered with much.

It has its ups and downs, op. Writing with someone else can be fun! Then you end up having a friendship-breakup and feel like you can't write anything ever again. Swings and roundabouts!

Yeah I can see how that would be a concern, anon. I guess that's why the best partnerships always seem to come from pre-existing friendships as far as I can tell?

Most of my online friends are writers too, but I'm not sure if that would actually help in terms of collaboration. We enjoy one another's writing, but working together might be a strain on the friendship. I wouldn't want to attempt it for that reason.

I can understand that. I used to write fic with a friend in high school. It was terrible fic, but we had so much fun.

I want to do this too. I've written stories with two people. One was a cousin of mine where we wrote letters to each other in character. The other was a friend in college but she was so busy that the turnaround really stopped the progress of the story. Both of those were original stories.

I would love to write with someone in fandom. I may end up not liking it. I've read some stories written by two people where they switch POVs but retell the same part of the story in an awkward way. But I think that would be easy to avoid so I'm definitely game to try it.

There are a bunch of beta finder comms and they're really useful. It's odd there are no similar ones for finding writing partners.
