Valentine's day is about making people feel like big fucking losers if they aren't in a couple, i know that.

Honestly, it's not. In my experience, the people who aren't in couples are the loudest about Valentine's Day--it sucks!! I'll be in bed with Netflix!!! Stop shoving my failure in my face!!!--and people in couples just, yknow, give each other chocolate and flowers and get on with it.

Huh, that's weird. I never thought spending the weekend with Netflix in bed was a failure. And, according to my friends with kids, it's actually nirvana.

Only if you let it. This past Valentine's Day fell on a Friday so I did what I do every Friday: meet up with my (also single) friends and had dinner. We had fun. No muss, no fuss.
