Star Trek was never meant to be 'action movies'. It's Sci-fi.

Yeah, I know.

But if someone tells me "I like the new Trek films better because they're more like action movies which is genre I prefer" I'd say, "fair enough."

I mean, it's obvious then, why they don't like TOS Trek.

Hell, if you say "I like nuTrek better because the actors are prettier" I'd be okay with that. It's not the deepest reason but it's an honest one.

If you say, "I like nuTrek better because it handles female characters better" well...THEN I might have a problem.
