I actually forgot about that. I thought your name sounded familiar but I haven't actually checked my flist in probably at least two years.

I probably didn't recognize you because, sorry for being blunt, you do not act like someone I would have added and I don't remember you acting like this when we became friends. You must have changed a lot. Or else I just wasn't paying attention - entirely possible. You showed up here a couple of months ago (I mean I assume you've always been here, but we all come and go for various periods of time) acting like an absolute jerk, though you're also really funny a lot of the time, and I thought you were new because I didn't recognize your behavior at all.

Now I feel like kind of an asshole because I'm not trying to "unfriend" you or anything. I know I liked you when I added you. Just explaining why I did not actually know who you are. You say elsewhere in the thread that you want to work on your filter but it seems you're very unapologetic about your behavior in general. :/ You have a lot of good traits though and I feel bad for the way this unfolded.

I have been posting here for years, and I thought I was always the same kind of person (some beautiful, meaningful conversations, some snark, some idiocy, more pedantry than I'd like) but maybe I have been being worse than usual. I'll try to be more careful in the future. I really will--I didn't realize how much I was bothering people (it's hard to tell when it's anons telling you that--as others have noted, we have some anons here that seem to love putting people down for no reason).

This really seems genuine and I wanted to apologise for making the snarky comment(the I love how this is your usual reaction comment), because looking at it from the perspective of "better not take the anons seriously" I kind of get it.

So yeah, sry and happy to hear you're not -trying- to be an edgy dick.

It's okay anon, I don't blame you at all for assuming I was just speaking hogwash or being facetious. Actions speak louder than words, and at that point, my actions didn't have a great track record to indicate I was serious.
