See while I do like there to be separation between the canons, this particular thing doesn't bug me because it doesn't directly contradict movie canon. What bugs me is when things show up in supposedly MCU fics that are comic-specific and actually contradict movie canon. I much prefer movie canon and don't exactly love mentions of things I don't know because I haven't read the comics, but it only bugs me when it contradicts.
