The Transformers IDW comics. I'm especially interested in MTMTE/RID, specifically Shockwave and the Dark Cybertron arc. I tend to imagine it as two concurrently-running TV shows, with the miniseries-es (what's the plural of miniseries?) being made-for-TV movies. The new Windblade series would probably be a web series. It would be a fairly faithful adaptation, probably CGI-animated. The original writers and artists would be consultants.

In practice, they'd probably skip all the backstory because it's not as popular, skip RID because there's simply no way to kiddify it and still have it be itself, and mangle MTMTE to make it comprehensible to and appropriate for children who never saw the original cartoon or read the other comics. I can see why they're not going to get a true official adaptation - they need a lot of backstory to make sense, it's highly unlikely that a Transformers TV show would do well with adult viewers, and the current comics' readership numbers are nowhere near enough to make it profitable as a TV show. It would be nice, though.
