I havent started this season yet so Im still confused by how Cruella is alongside Ursula and Maleficent since shes a "modern" disney character.

At least they redesigned Maleficent to resemble the films, good lord her old design was shitty

Considering it's a staple of the show to give the villains an interesting and usually sympathetic backstory (except for *cough*Zelena*cough*) I'm interested for what they're going to show about Cruella because at the moment she does seem to stick out like a sore thumb when her besties are all sorcerers and she just...hates puppies?

Also Word to Maleficent's improved design.

I feel like they gave up on the people being in the enchanted forest making sense a long time ago.

But we also don't have Cruella's backstory yet, it's possible she's from another world behind another door. They've already done some "modern" things like Frankenstein so this wouldn't be the first time.
