I think I...sort of do that sometimes. t's different if you take the RP factor out of the occasion, at least. But, every blue moon I get so immersed in a character, I do sort of end up with the same hair or clothing style. Now I sort of worry it's creepy, but, it's sort of organic for me I guess. And it's a two-way street in the sense that there often already is an overlap to begin with.

I think most people will relate to a character that way at some point in their lives tbh. It's only when you take it to extremes as OP's friend has that it starts getting weird and a little creepy.

Meh, if it makes you happy, there's no problem. It's the little things sometimes...

(I have a the haircut of my favorite character and whenever I remember, I get this little inner-squee moment. *fist bump*)
