Text: I was reading a series of one-shots for a fandom I’m in when I came across one for a ship I consider a huge nOTP (they’re not related, but he’s very strongly coded to be her “father figure)”

I was into the premise (zombie apocalypse AU) and started reading it and was pleasantly surprised by the fact that it was relatively IC and well written

(didn’t make the sex scenes less weird tho)

long story short: it ended with them finding a settlement where they could live safely for the forseeable future
I thought to myself “It would have been cool if she also found out she was pregnant to go along with the themes of destruction and rebirth in the fic”

Then I caught myself and was like “the fuck”
