Exactly! Or given them to someone else. I'm sure there are plenty of people in the manga community who'd take good care of them. As a book lover, I would NEVER give my books - even ones I can't keep - to someone who hates me, never. I don't understand you, OP.

I was thinking a library could have taken them. Every library I've been to recently has at least a small manga/graphic novel section and I'm sure they would have appreciated an expansion, as long as it wasn't actual porn or anything.

When I had to get rid of a bunch of anime-ish books, I ended up donating them to the local anime con. I don't know what they did with them (sell them, probably?). But whatever they did, I know it would have helped the con even a little bit, so that made me happy.

Not OP, but manga depreciates in vale insanely. I had some series that I was going to sell on ebay, but the prices were so low it wasn't even worth the effort of boxing and shipping them. I ended up donating them to a thrift store.

this. I had a very narrow time frame and I'd accepted a job in another country. I didn't have the time to run around trying to figure out what to do with my stuff. I was kind of in panic mode.

I should have thought about it and sorted it all out earlier, but I was just dumb, basically.

Manga resale values suck hard. They could have resold them to make a few bucks, but it'd probably be much easier just to send it off to one person, especially if they're concerned about the manga being taken care of.
