I do that too. One of my most productive story-plotting times is the 45 minutes a day where I walk the dog and talk to myself in various characters' voices. Every dog walker and a significant portion of the residents of my side of town know me on sight now (and a few to talk to), and several times I've seen them explaining me to other people.

I don't know. I think things just stick better for me if they're verbalised?

I often also walk around when doing it. Often to music. But not exclusively as the car incident shows.
