I worry about this - though to be fair my dad aged quite well, and my mom smokes and has a lot of sun damage, so I can't really compare that. A lot of my family didn't really grow all that old, so who know how the'd have looked at 80?. If I can age like my paternal grandmother did, it wouldn't be the worse of things.

This is another thing that worries me. My mom's family all die in their 60s or 70s (cancer, usually). My dad's family live for a very long time, well into their 90s. My grandpa died at 98, and was fairly healthy until the last few years of his life.

I hope I take after my dad's side, living a very long time and always looking considerably younger than I actually am, but I worry that I'll be more like my mom's side.

Nobody in my family made it into their 90's. The record is currently mid-80's i think, though 60's is more typical.

I'm...not sure how I feel about it. I dislike the though of dying, but I think I dislike it equally at 40 or at 80. But, i also dislike the thought of aging, so maybe there will be a point where i can't stand being frail and wrinkled, and will hope for it to end.
