Did anyone ever actually ship them?

Did anyone ever actually like Troy? Strong contender for most obnoxious Trek character ever.

Marina Sirtis grew on me after the fact due to her voicework (granted I didn't realize she had a sexy voice until she wasn't Troi)

I liked her once they gave her stuff to do and let her wear a Starfleet uniform again. So I guess in Season 6 and 7.

Sadly, one of those things they let her do was destroy the spaceship. Multiple times in her training, until her BF told her how not to. Then twice in the movies.

After the third season and from the noncanon books (1990s era) I rather liked Troi's character.
