All canon pairings? Every canon pairing ever? There is really no linking quality that canon pairings all share aside from being canon. It's kinda bonkers to assume that fan pairings are universally more interesting and superior to canon source romance. What are you even judging, the fact that they are agreeing with the icky author? I get that we shouldn't be worshipping the ground these all-too-human creators walk. But what is this petulant little trend of thinking the canon material is trite and boring. Why watch/read/play things when you can't help but curl your lip at the idiot creator ideas.

I actually judge anyone who is so set in their ways that they dismiss the merits of canon pairings on principle, regardless of how much they like the source material. The sort of people who start a show and immediately start gleaning the non romantic characters for hints of shipping material. I judge that. Way more specific then canon=bad.
