Based upon what a token bitchy wife role Ron had in the movies, I'd believe it.

Well more like, Ron and Harry have the most developed friendship in the books and Harry does stuff like 'skip like a schoolgirl' when Ron returns in DH and whenever he's alone with Hermione he just sits around thinking about how much he misses Ron half the time and how Hermione is nice but she's not Ron.

Honestly though I hate what the movies did to Ron, but he struck me more as pointless comic relief in them than bitchy wife role. Bitchy wife role would mean they'd have to acknowledge how important he was to Harry, which they really didn't.

NAYRT - Yeah, I really wish people wouldn't go by the movies when it comes to Ron (not that I can blame them, especially if they haven't read the books). :(
