I am amazed that she has never studied the history of women's suffrage because she sounds exactly like some of those people who argued against it and their points about women being the moral center of the home.

And yeah, it kind of reminds me of anti-vaxxers, in that the success of the thing that they rail against is WHY they feel so comfortable railing against it. Because life now has changed SO much that they don't actually realize how shitty things were before.
Seriously, I wouldn't WANT to live in any time period of the past. Gay trans people weren't allowed to really EXIST in my culture till, like, the 1980s, and neither were multiples who rejected the integration paradigm. And that was just thirty years ago! Imagine how bad it would've been BEFORE THAT. D:
