I really liked it when he'd show up on Night Court. And Sean and Mackenzie seem to have avoided many of the child star pitfalls, which I think is probably at least partly down to their parents.

I have loved John Astin since I was a little kid watching Night Court and Addams Family reruns.

John Astin is a goddamn treasure. I don't know much about him personally, but his acting always made it seem like he was a good person.

Fun fact: He was also in the movie version of West Side Story, he played Glad Hand (and was awesome and awkwardly hilarious).

he's awesome! I love how when he was Gomez he handled his cigar as punctuation to his lines like an oldtimey comedian does.
