What? dude, games and anime are hardly ever posted about. They are far overwhelmed by Western live action media.

I wish people posted more about games and anime, tbh.

There is maybe one, possibly two anime secrets a day. Just one today. Everything else is either generic "fandom" or blatantly Western media.

NAYRT - I've seen people say there's hardly any anime here when I see it all the time myself. So I'm also confused. Maybe we're reading different threads or at different times?

I'm here daily, for the past few years, and I've also noticed a lack of anime secrets. Like one a day on average, some days a couple, some days none.

I feel like there's not actually that many secrets about anime, but they tend to stand out a little in the mind. Because there's this weird, like, walled garden effect with anime.

NAYRT - do you mean in the sense that you either get it or don't? Because that's actually a rather good point, if that's what you mean.

Partly that, also I think if you're not into anime it's really easy to write off all anime as just being some anime-ass anime

The art style is v. distinctive and people tend to watch either anime or live action TV.

I don't watch much anime but I wouldn't mind more anime secrets. (I don't feel like we get a large number of them either, at least compared to other stuff.) Sometimes I get into things because of f!s (Tiger and Bunny, Samurai Flamenco, In the Flesh, etc), and I've never really regretted it.

Games though...yea, I would love to have more gaming secrets. (Though it is still entirely possible that if we did, I might not be familiar with the titles.)

I think the only video game-related secrets I ever see with any regularity -especially over the past year or two- on FS has been Dragon Age.

My guess is that, outside of the heavy hitter/AAA franchises (won't even name 'em, but you can probably guess) and the odd indie title with a cult following, a lot of video game-based fandoms are fairly small. Which probably isn't an enticing fact if you're part of a small fandom where everyone knows the other person to some extent, and therefore run the risk of having a secret connected to you being the OP.

Or maybe with said long running AAA franchises, there's enough people where certain sentiments/opinions aren't really "secret worthy" anymore, I dunno. If that makes sense.

I can confirm a little about the small fandoms. When I make secrets about my game fandoms, I make them very vague and don't mention the title, or even that it has to do with gaming. I don't want to get outted or out anyone else.

I would definitely love to see more anime secrets, despite the fact that I don't even watch enough anime as I used to myself.
