I had to stop reading Grey Mountain by John Grisham because as far as I could tell there was no story, only his endless point that strip mining is bad. I got it, dude, strip mining is bad. Now, how about a story, with actual characters instead of mouthpieces?

If we're talking about examples of writers who are completely and totally didactic and worthless, Ayn Rand. Just Ayn Rand.

(Doesn't help that the philosophy she's promoting is... disagreeable)
