I sort of agree in the sense that the number of fandoms I just don't know seem to have increased, and yeah there has been lack of a sense of humour recently...but I still like it here.

Same. I basically don't know any of the fandoms, and I do think sometimes people take things too seriously, but... I dunno, FS is still my favorite fandom space. It's basically what LJ used to be for me. (Except I wasn't anon. But I could flock on LJ, obviously I can't here.)

You can flock on dw. Add the people you want to your access list (subscribing to their journal feed is separate), and keep all, or the specific, posts to that.

Heck, you can even have sub-access lists so even the more select folk have social permission.

There are a whole bunch of fandoms here that I don't know at all, and others I simply disike. It's pretty easy to scroll past those and just reply to the ones I'm interested in. Sometimes that's four or five secrets a day, sometimes it's none. That's just the way it goes.

Maybe some people feel they should be replying to every single secret and that's why they're irritated when they aren't familar/aren't into something?

Plus there's the rather obvious solution of making more secrets about a fandom they want to talk about, if they feel it's being underrepresented.
