Women of any kind who have hopes, desires, goals, and motivation. Who aren't defined solely by the people they interact with/know, but to some extent by their internal values.

This shouldn't be hard to find, because this is just making female characters like real women are in real life.

And yet...

It would be weird if everyone in this thread had the same character profile answer and it blows my mind when people don't get that and argue that Strong Female Character should be enough for feminists to feel they "won" and shut up about female representation in media.

Just... write women as people instead of trying to figure out ~what women want~.

This. I don't care if a female character is feminine or a tomboy. I don't care if she is a warrior or a wallflower. I just want her to be her own person, with her own character (flaws and all) instead of being defined by the people (generally guys) around her.

That being said, I will gravitate toward the snarky one any time. Like Rosa on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
