As someone who is into anime, I barely see any of it on F!S. This is very much a Western-media leaning comm. For every one anime secret there are dozens for movies, or US/British tv shows, or music/ians.

I've made secrets for anime shows before and never subbed them because the 'audience' here for it seems very small in comparison.

If you really don't like something then your perception might trick you into seeing more of it than there is, but the numbers simply don't back you up on this one.

I've tried making some anime posts in general discussion, but the results are depressing. There's barely anyone to discuss anime beyond the mega popular shows (and Yuri Kuma Arashi for some reason.)

DA - I wonder if maybe there aren't shows people assume are anime because of the name? i say that as one of the "so much anime" anons. Maybe we're under the impression things are anime because of the name when they aren't.

(I mean, I assumed Brooklyn Nine-Nine was another cop drama when it's a cop comedy. Not that there aren't still cops, but the genre's way different nonetheless.)

Can you give any examples of what the "so much anime" you're seeing is? Because anime's pretty obviously anime, and it makes up a tiny, tiny proportion of F!S as a whole.

Sometimes people use anime artwork when the secret is about a much more generic subject; I wouldn't count those as "anime secrets". Over the past week or so there's been (presumably a single) a secret-maker who subbed two or three One Piece secrets in quick succession, but those sort of blips are the vast exception. Meanwhile, every day has several secrets about actors, musicians, various other celebrities, TV Shows, webcomics, movies, fanfiction, fanart, SJWs, fandom politics...

I think it doesn't help that one of the main anime thread starters is that one anon who just imports troll shit from /a/ wholesale

I don't think that helps at all
