There are some decent forums on the internet for talking about Steven Universe in a positive way, but I don't think Tumblr is one of them unfortunately because of the very vocal percentage of dumb peeps.

IDK if this helps you any but you don't have to be in the fan discussions if you want to watch the show. I actually enjoyed the Legend of Korra, even though the fandom was tearing itself a new asshole about how everything in the show is horrible and flame-worthy every time an episode came out.

Your lucky if your fandom has other places to discuss things outside of tumblr.

Unfortunately, tumblr is the only place my fandom is active. It doesn't even gets threads on 4chan or if it does they die out after a couple posts. Yet it has an insanely large following on tumblr. I need to pick my fandoms better.

it was so hard to find a positive LOK niche. i did during the third season. but most of the fandom was nonsense. they had the show already written in their head and when korra wasn't that they threw a tantrum.
